Why Social Media is good for you?

"Social Media is ruining our generation" you must have heard this sentence hundred time if not more. Infinity scroll feed in our fingertips have changed our life. But is this change only effecting us in bad way? While social media can make us hung in our phone for long long hours with dopamine hit, it also has some good deeds to us which we often fail to look on. The number of new business model and ideas that social media has brought today cannot be ignored. But today I am going to talk the different part that social media has helped humans on. One of the most important thing, it helped us is, today information is accessible to all the people. Every person on earth with smartphone and internet connection have access to news and updates from all over the world. In previous time, for one to learn new things they need first accumulate the motivation to gain knowledge then find the resource (which were not easily accessible) like books, magazines, videos, etc. But today, if the...

Abstraction on Details: Life

When I watch movies or any shows where there are some characters, and it depicts their livelihood. It shows activities that the character does, and the life goes on. And when I look on them, it feels so amazing to know that they are enjoying a heart out and it triggers a sense of urge to have such livelihood. I am watching BoJack right now. Although it is animation, I love the way the things are happening in his life. Although show is about showing the sad and self-awareness part of the life. It brings a different thought on me right now. Why do I feel so amazed to imagine the life like that character in shows at the first place? The answer that comes in my mind is, the show hides or blurs out the small and nitty-gritty of the life. Like, we often think about our hair is correct or not, we think about what to cook/eat tonight, we think about the work we have to attend tomorrow, we think about the dream we want to accomplish in near future, we think about the bud...

People are the Problem

Are you Happy?

Generally, when people meet someone they ask how is career, married, or do they bought a car or property or something like this.  But they never ask “ Are you happy? ” I reached out to this idea from a tweet where the guy tweets a famous quote by legendary Heath Ledger. I loved this idea and was fascinated.  But when I think about it for more seconds I also sort of ask myself, is it practical?  Imagine, meeting someone and asking if are you happy, it does sounds good but not a question to ask everyone when we meet.  So what is the best way to ask about someone that implies the idea of asking are you happy?  It may or can go like, what are you doing these days? And then continue asking about what is the progress or what is the idea behind that particular task or project. Also, there may not be always the case they reply with something. Sometimes people may be in the phase where they do not do anything.  In such case, here we can ask is everything all right? ...

Is this right?

Is this right?  or What is right?    This question sticks on our mind more than anything. We often are stuck with the dilemma in the thought of if the thing I am doing is the right way or sometime even before starting, like which way to go. Everything is subtle in life. Most of the things on this journey are not binary. The things that goes well for other might not go great for you. I read articles or some piece of writing where author explains philosophical ideas to say how to live your life. Like, life is precious there is less time and you need to enjoy every bit of it. Some of us read time management articles too. The author tries to explain us so hard but it might not prick us in our heart like the writer is trying to. Cause we are not familiar or not aware of the background the author has faced or the background scenery he is plotting to get that ideas. We often fell left out of this. Also sometime it may feel us that "the daily show of writer trying to ...

Digital Currency

First of all, let's understand what is digital currency? Digital currency are currency with no physical attributes and are available only in digital form. So if we need to do transaction with them we use computers or electronic wallets which should be connected to internet or a particular network.  Types: Central bank Digital Currency : regulated by central bank of a country. It can somewhat replace or be an alternative to traditional fiat currency. China has e-CNY, a digital version of fiat currency. Virtual Currencies : unregulated digital currency that is controlled by developers or founding organization. An example of this is gaming token whose economics is defined and controlled by developers. Cryptocurrencies : They are digital currency that use cryptography to secure and verify transactions in a network. They may or may not be regulated depending on the law and policy of different countries. Benefits of Digital Currency : - They are very fast in transaction as they are...

What exactly is Gradient Descent?

You must have heard about the term Gradient Descent in your journey to Data Science. It is one of the most important and mandatory term to understand for Machine Learning and as well as Deep Learning.  Basically in simple terms, Gradient Descent is algorithm, an optimization algorithm which repeatedly changes the variables value to have the best solution. To understand more clearly let's take and example of linear regression. In linear regression we have to find m(slope) and b(intercept). There is a typical way to solve it mathematically by using Ordinary Least Square (OLS) method. But in Gradient Descent approach, we first assume some value of m and b and we iteratively change the value of m and b with the help of training data to get the right pair of m and b finally. Gradient Descent works on a function which is differentiable at any point and find it's minimum point. In linear regression, that function is Loss function and our aim to is to minimize it. So we use gradient de...
